| | | | | Company - History | | | | | | | | Our company can look back on a long tradition in a manufacturing Safety Components for lifts. Since Theodor Bongers established the company in 1919 our business has enjoyed a permanent growth and is today one of the leading manufacturers in Germany and abroad. With the marriage of Theodor Bongers's daughter Hermann Deimann joined the company in 1925. Later, also the founder's son entered the family business. At that time, small series of dumbwaiters and service lifts as well as lift components were produced. During World War II, the company started also rendering assembly and maintenance services.
In 1967, the son of Hermann Deimann, Rudolf Deimann, became the managing director of the now renamed company Bongers & Deimann OHG together with Theodor Bongers II. When Theo Bongers II. died in 1974, Rudolf Deimann became the sole managing director and partner. At that time, primarily safety technological components for lifts, as the patented Overspeed Governor are produced and distributed.
In the 70ies and 80ies the worldwide export was expanded. In collaboration with J.A. Nederbragt the first BODE Rope Brake was produced in 1987.
After the successful development of the global export and the expansion of its domestic goodwill, the company was renamed in BODE Aufzüge GmbH in 1992.
At the end of the 90ies, our products were intensively promoted especially in the American and Asian market for rope brakes.
Because of the successful internationalisation of the company's activities (renaming) in the beginning of 2003 the management is restructured to the divisions Technology-Production, Sales and Administration.
Our Rope Brakes and Overspeed Governors ensure an optimum in Lift Safety worldwide. | | |
