Bode overspeed governors UKCA-certified

Bode has received UKCA certification for its speed governor from TÜV Süd.

Brexit changed the requirements for distributing lifts and components on the British market. In future, all products that previously only needed a CE marking will have to possess an additional UKCA marking if they are to be introduced into the British economic area.

The original plan was only to recognize the CE marking until the end of 2022. By extending the transition period until 31 December 2024, companies are to be given more time to adapt to the new regulations. However, companies can continue to use the UKCA marking and in this way be flexible in deciding which marking they want to use until the end of 2024.

Certifications required completed
Bode as an international company with a long business history with the UK has therefore already completed the certifications required. "We are now proud of having obtained the corresponding certificates from TÜV Süd," the press release from the company based in Dusseldorf stated.

The certificates, including the type examination in accordance with the requirements stipulated in the Lifts Regulations 2016, Schedule 11, Section A can be downloaded from the company website.
